There are already several good reviews that give the technical low down. I connected a 50 foot HDMI cable from the back of my livingroom to the switch for my laptop.
Adding the switch only gave me 2 additioal HDMIs. It is also simple to set up.
The video and audio is the same as from my device in next to the tv -- fabulous. I only wish it had more inputs.
Excellent says it all. This switch handles the highest quality HDMI.
I like that it can be programmed for my Harmony remote, but I have not had the time to do that yet - the signal detection handles the task for me so it is working OK now without even programming the Harmony Remote.
Having Comcast HD Video Convertor and I just purchased a Blu-Ray DVD player. I have a HDTV that has only one HDMI input. This accessory does an excellent job of switching and maintaining the video and Audio quality that is associated with Blu-Ray and with the Comcast HD Convertor.
I purchased a 50.00 switch at frys but no sound came out of it so I took it back and I purchased this Oppo switch. It worked fine.
Understanding how the product prioritizes the ports allows the user to utilize the product without the need of IR switching - basically becomes transparent to your overall theatre system. Product works as advertised. Only wish is that they had a model that had more ports or guaranteed daisy chaining.
The remote is a bit small and might be easily lost, though the buttons on the remote are of decent size. I have tried at least one other brand of switch that did not pass the images at all. An e-mail to their tech support got me an answer the next business day. The device is small, shinny black, sleek -- it looks nice.It works -- I hooked up two DVD players (one standard upscaling and the other a blu ray -- both sony). There was no change in image or in sound as far as I could tell. I had some problem figuring out how to open the remote battery compartment -- nothing on their web site or in their documentation on how to do it.
